The WeArt FoundationWeArt International is proud to announce that our non-profit company, The WeArt Foundation, will begin operations in the spring of 2008. The WeArt Foundation will further our cause worldwide by assisting artists in economically challenged communities to build stable and profitable businesses from their talents. We will provide micro loans to artists who show both promise and need to create inventories of sale-able artworks, and thus assist them in creating a larger and steadier stream of income than would otherwise be possible. Art heals and hope helps. By helping to create small business success in environments where there appears to be little opportunity, The WeArt Foundation endeavors to become a resource from which successful small art-based businesses can be built. These businesses, and the products of the artists involved, will provide a source of beauty and proven opportunity, which we believe will then spread throughout the communities in which they are based, and throughout the world in which these products will be sold and enjoyed. With every product sold through WeArt International, we not only raise awareness of the beauty and talent to be found in these communities, but also contribute a portion of our profits to The WeArt Foundation to support it's work. Buy our products, or support The WeArt Foundation directly through your generous donations, and you will join in the cause of creating a better world through art. We thank you in advance for your support of economic development, artistic beauty, and the individual lives that The WeArt Foundation will spread throughout the world. You can support the WeArt Foundation by buying WeArt International's products, and also by making tax deductible donations through our website. This way of life, rather than creating the inspiration and quality of life that both the artists and the world deserve, instead often creates a desperate hand to mouth existence. The artists must buy raw materials, create enough product to sell at the next opportunity, then feed and house themselves and their families with what little income is generated while still preserving enough money to acquire more raw materials to do it all again another day. The WeArt Foundation, the non profit wing of WeArt International, is founded with the purpose of helping these artists to create meaningful, sustainable businesses from their artistic efforts, and allowing them to continue to celebrate, inspire and support their various cultures. The WeArt Foundation will accomplish this by providing micro loans to artists who can show an ability to create art or artifacts that can result in sales. Our no interest micro loans will provide the means for these artists to acquire the supplies, equipment, employees, or whatever is necessary to create inventories of their products sufficient to distribute on a wider scale than the personal hand to mouth selling method that is holding them in their current states of poverty. Once an inventory is created, WeArt International will assist further in becoming the distributor for those products worldwide. The inventory will we purchased by WeArt International at a profit to the artist, and then resold on the world market at a profit to WeArt International, thus creating a true economy that can sustain and continue to feed the needs of our artists and our own company's efforts. Micro lending has shown itself to be a highly rewarding method of assistance to ambitious people in all fields, by providing the relatively small amounts of seed capital necessary to build a business from talent and effort into a sustainable way of life. The WeArt Foundation not only provides this seed capital to worthy artists and musicians, but also takes a further step by providing the wholesale customer and distribution channel by which the products can be sold on a larger scale, thus vastly increasing the probability of growth and success for these small businesses. WeArt International provides the initial capital for The WeArt Foundation's micro loan fund by donating a portion of the profits from every sale of a WeArt product to the Foundation. The WeArt Foundation will also accept tax deductible contributions from interested individuals and organizations worldwide, and will pursue active fundraising efforts to further increase our ability to help those in need. With a proven default rate of less than 2% on micro loans throughout the world, the funds made available through the WeArt Foundation will continue to circulate back through the Foundation (through loan repayments) and therefore will create a lasting and growing resource to assist a growing number of artists around the world, and to enable us to also provide secondary loans to help succeeding artists continue to develop and grow their businesses as they create new jobs and opportunities through their own successes. |
