New Writing, Emerging Voices & Short-Form Dramaturgy

The program champions short-form dramaturgy, providing opportunities for writers to develop new scripts and explore innovative structures in a supportive professional setting.
Many works explore themes of identity, migration, resilience, belonging, relationships, and contemporary life—reflecting the multicultural fabric of Miami-Dade.
Both emerging and established playwrights participate, contributing to a growing pipeline of new theatrical voices.

Actor–Audience Proximity & Community Engagement

The microtheater format places audiences mere feet away from performers, creating a level of emotional immediacy not possible in traditional theaters.
